Did you know our farm is Pasture for Life' certified?
"Pasture for Life" refers to a farming and food production standard that promotes raising livestock ENTIRELY on pasture or grass throughout their lives. The concept emphasises sustainability, animal welfare, and ecological benefits by ensuring that animals like cows, sheep, and goats are fed a natural diet of grass and forage, rather than grains or processed feeds.
Key Principles of "Pasture for Life":
-
100% Grass-fed: Animals are raised exclusively on pasture and grass-based diets, without supplementary feeding of grains or non-pasture feeds.
-
Animal Welfare: Animals are allowed to graze freely and live in a more natural environment, which is thought to reduce stress and improve overall health.
-
Environmental Sustainability: Pasture-based farming can contribute to healthier soil, increased biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and reduced reliance on chemical inputs like fertilizers and pesticides.
-
Nutritional Benefits: Grass-fed animals tend to produce meat, milk, and dairy products with higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), and antioxidants, which are associated with various health benefits for humans.

The nights are starting to slowly get darker and it’s got us thinking about all the winter recipes you’ll be cooking up in the kitchen this year.
It’s less than 100 days until Christmas and although many of us don’t like to think about it just yet, a lot of you have been asking when our Christmas collection will be going live online.
We are pleased to say it will be going live on Tuesday 1st October and will be available for delivery to your home or collection from the shop in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
Don’t forget to make a note in your diary and be the first to get your orders in for the big day in December!

Another great review for Tunstall Meat Company.
‘The ordering is easy, the delivery service is great but what really matters is the quality of the meat, and that's top class.’
We love to read reviews from you online and see what you are cooking in the Kitchen!
