The ultimate crowd pleaser! Outdoor reared pigs from our farm down the road. Berkshires are in our opinion the best native breed pigs around.
Cooking instructions are given on a leaflet with your purchase.
· Place the ham in the oven at 175 Degree Celsius (do not remove from the bag) in a shallow tray with some water
· Cook for about 3- 4 Hours.
· Remove ham from the oven and leave it on the side for 15 minutes.
· Open the bag (be careful as steam might come out) and take the ham out.
· Remove the rind , peppercorn and bay leaves.
· Glaze with your choice of,
· Mustard and honey, brown sugar, treacle, marmalade etc.
· Put it back in the oven for about 30 minutes to glaze
